Glass Home Privacy Policy
Last updated October 25, 2026
Glass Home is a home screen (launcher) app for Android TV and Google TV, made for personal use. This policy explains what it does with your information when you sign in with a Google account.
What Glass Home reads
When you add a Google account, Glass Home asks Google for permission to read:
- your Google account's email address, to show which account is signed in;
- the list of YouTube channels you subscribe to (read-only), to show their latest videos on the home screen.
Glass Home cannot post, comment, like, subscribe, or change anything on your YouTube or Google account.
Where it is kept
Your subscription list and the sign-in token are stored only on your TV, in Glass Home's private app storage. They are never sent to the developer or to any server other than Google's own. Settings backups made by Glass Home do not include sign-in tokens or passwords.
Video titles and thumbnails are loaded from YouTube's public channel feeds.
Sharing
Glass Home does not sell, share, or transfer your information to anyone. It has no advertising, analytics, or tracking.
Removing your data
In Glass Home, open Home settings → Video rows and choose Remove next to your account. This deletes the token and subscription list from the TV. Uninstalling Glass Home deletes everything it stored. You can also revoke Glass Home's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Google API Services
Glass Home's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
